From a full-time florist of 17 years to now learning the other side of floristry, this garden marks a new chapter in my creative journey. Now in my fourth year of growing, I’m learning more each season about the rhythm of the garden and the joy of working with what’s right outside my door. By growing my own blooms and incorporating foliage and flora from our property, I’m able to create in a more sustainable way, one that also brings balance between work and mum life.

This is my happy place, a safe, spray-free space for my kids and me to play, grow, and learn together. All materials are reused or recycled wherever possible, and most organic waste is composted back into the garden.

With little ones in tow, gardening often takes a back seat and I’m still learning as I go. There will be mistimed growth spurts and the occasional plant casualty, but that’s all part of the journey. When the garden slows down, I source from other wonderful local growers to keep the flowers flowing.
